Prerequisites

  • A registered Konami ID linked to your master duel game
  • Must login to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB using the same Konami ID
  • If the Yu-Gi-Oh! DB website asks to login with Game Card ID just click "I don't have a game card ID" and fill some basic information to proceed

Export Guide

- Via the MDM extension (Recommended): Download on Firefox, or Chromium Browsers
For Chromium browsers (Chrome/Edge/Opera/Brave...etc) just click "Add to chrome" on the store page and it'll work on most if not all chromium browsers.
After using the extension, go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

  2. Go to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB and click My Deck => Add a Deck
  3. Once the deck page loads click Edit then do one of the following based on the platform your device is running:
    • (PC Only): Press F12 to open the DevTools window => Navigate to the Console tab in the window => Paste the export code => Hit Enter
    • OR (Other platforms/PC): In the address bar of the current tab remove the URL and type "javascript:" without the quotations then paste the export code, then if you're on mobile look for the *globe* icon and tap on it to run the code (Chrome only), for PC users just hit enter.
  4. The deck will save automatically
  5. Go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

Notes & Combos

This is the spright deck that I used to reach D1 from D5 tier 5 in the current Tear tier 0 meta. All info below:

Game Stats

I’ve compiled some statistics of the games that I had using this deck to reach D1:

  • Total games: 75
  • Heads occurrence: 46.66 % / Tails occurrence: 53.33 %
  • Total win rate: 61.33%
  • Win rate with heads: 62.86% / Win rate with tails: 60.00% (more than I expected!)

Gameplan

Going first, I’ll try to set up a board with Spright elf, IP Masquerena, Mannequin Cat and, in many cases, spright carrot. If the opponent summons a dark tear monster, you can very quickly use Mannequin cat to summon the end of Anubis, rendering their GY useless. Use IP and Spright Elf as materials to summon Avramax which will protect Anubis. I like to toss in Spright Carrot in case the opponent has Evenly matched (very common with FLOO decks). You can also use Melffy of the forest to get Melffy cat on the board at the end of turn 1, and then use it to add Melffy Pinny to the hand during your opponent’s turn, consequently summoning Herald of the Arc Light as a Tear counter. However, I’ve found the Mannequin cat –> Anubis combo to be much faster in most cases. The gameplan for going second will depend largely on your opponent’s board.

Some comments

  • To stop Tear in its tracks, it’s generally good to use D.D. Crow to banish a Tear monster whose effect is to fusion summon a monster from the graveyard. Using negates for Kitkallos is useful too.

  • I use 3x Dimensional Fissures as opposed to 2x Dimension Shifter. D. shifter on turn 1 is annoying, as it blocks you from using your frog extenders, whereas with D. fissure you can just pop it on the board at the end of your turn 1. I’ve also found that tear decks can struggle with D. Fissure even on your turn 2 if they don’t have the right negates.

  • I also prefer using 2x Dark Beckoning Beast + 1 Opening of the spirit gates as opposed to 3 Nimble beavers. There’s good synergy between DBB and frogs. eg: if you start with a DBB and a frog, you can summon 2x DBBs and then send the frog to the gy using Spirit Gates to summon DBB again, then with Spright elf you can summon that frog in the GY for more extenders. That’s just my own preference though.
