Notes & Combos
I absolutely love salamangreat as a whole and this event showed why it was the best deck a time ago. Mainly, I used this event as a way to test tech options (not engines) like desires, exceed, and etc, and that is what I would love to steal moments of your time for, dear reader.
Starting with a card I have chosen not to use, Pot of Desires. I will not lie, it is quite good in the deck, but the main drawbacks is that it will lose you some games. Normally with breaking boards, salad likes as many options as possible when they begin and this is both the pro and con of desires. It definately will help you break boards you would otherwise be helpless to, but on the other hand, you can banish key cards like two parallel, jaguar, falco, or sactuary (specifically sactuary).
Next, parallel exceed. It in general has an incredible amount of applications whether its Heatsoul, Bagooska (my boi), or OTK lines. The only drawback is it is somewhat bricky, which doesn't come up enough to cut it.
Triple Tactics Talents. Normally: no. This event: Yes. Currently salad isn't trying to scrape by, instead it is really strong. In ladder, you have to cut every weakness and play the most optimal handtrap lineup with almost no board breakers. Right now, its engine is strong enough that you can warrent tech cards that boost engine, so yeah thats my reasoning. If I had more I would play more.
Last Knightmare Phoenix and Hiita, the Fire Charmer Ablaze. Mostly they are to help matchups and are the best extra-deck tech cards I could put together for salad, in my opinion.
