Notes & Combos

Welcome to "my" Lyrilusc list, XFII (Xyz Festival 2) edition. As hinted by the quotation marks, this list was actually made by Lavamat#9804, on the first edition of this event, with the only difference being I use 1 more copy of Pot of Desires, as I'm pretty used to the statistical side of it. So, just like with when I used MichaelR#4209's list, I'll explain in short what this deck does to pay off the debt.

This deck is essentially the bane of all existence despite not being Numeron or Exosister, abusing every fragment of the "low level rule" (low power on paper, high ceiling quirks) to force the opponent to scoop on Utopic Draco Future, while assuring a follow-up on the turn after by adding and recovering the very pieces you used to combo. Basically Rank 1 Sprights, the ideal deck for ranking psychopaths.

Deck follows a rigorous military divsion scheme: Disruption Weapons: Maxx, Ash, Nibiru, Called, Crossout, Impermanence Summoners: Warbler (hand), Canary (GY) Summoned Extenders: Sparrow (Monster search), Wagtail (S/T search) Independent Extenders: Fraktall (mill 1 of the 3, Types), every Main Deck Zoodiac (1-card Xyz), Bird Call (search and summon with a gimmick), Tenki (Fraktall/Zoodiac search), Desires (draw power), One For One (emergency extender/summon) Messengers of the GG: Starling, Assembled, Promenade, every Zoodiac Xyz except Drident, Utopic Future Slash, Downerd Magician GG: Ensemblue Robin, Zeus, Utopic Draco Future, Zoodiac Drident

While infamous for their going second play (but this build notoriously lacks both Kaijus and Psychic Blade), Lyrilusc is a deck that would really prefer to go first. And that's because nothing in ranked beats suffocating the opponent with negates before they do the same, while having handtraps ready to blow in case. Not to mention Ensemblue's effect is begging you to go first.

That being said, Assembled Nightingale can attack both directly and as many times as the number of materials she has (with Wagtail adding herself as one each turn if she's on the GY), as well as a protection effect for every Lyrilusc, and Starling does have a unique battle-damage-reflect continuous effect.

With the most being covered, a few last tips:

  • Bird Call can only summon what you DIDN'T add from the first part of the effect
  • Downerd exists only to give one more material to Zeus
  • You'll sometimes have to decide between buffing Drident and summoning Zeus, but the latter mostly needs Boarbow.
