Notes & Combos
This is meant to take advantage of all the Baxia, Yazi, and Shaman lines. If you don't know them, play standard. PakTCG is a pretty good resource if you need one.
I.D. 769-614-772 against Mofa_Foxy for an example board to make which plays around any non-Maxx-C hand trap. A big misplay here when I used Adhara before banishing with Protos so I didn't have a second Longyuan and Mo Ye in hand.
Expected Deck Questions:
- Why no Imperm? - Swordsoul going second with an average hand can play through most interrupts. Most strong card effects it cannot play through are graveyard effects. E.g. La
- How to get to 40 cards...
- With more hand traps? - Remove 1 Adhara, Destrudo, and Vishuda
- With more consistency? - Remove Crows and Belle
- Even more gas? - Add 2 Vessel
- Even more gas? - Swap Crows and Belle with 2x Vessel.
- Why no Dragite? - Rarely ever do you want to summon. Conflicts with Ashuna, one of the All-Stars for this deck.
- Then why two Shamans? - It's more gas. It's how you OTK. It can clear boards with Monk. It's either this or Two Taxis.
- Then why not two Yazis? - It's a bit worse against OTKing Maxx C challenge
Generic Stuff I find most people don't consider:
- Berserker survives can become a monk
- Shaman only negates if monster was specials directly from the Extra deck
- Baxia is not hard one per turn
- If you have follow-up, 1 Sinister, 2 Mo Ye, 3 Chixiao
- Increases probability of getting a hand trap
