Notes & Combos
This is a self made Branded Runick deck that got me multiple >=5 game winstreaks in diamond. This deck has multiple wincons, most notably the Ra lock. This Runick variant makes the Ra lock way more consistent compared to the standard one in Branded Despia. The reason is that you often needed to sack your Mirrorjade and if the opponent had a counter like Called By or Droplet, it was game over for you. Here I can just make the Ra out of my Runick monsters that I can just generate out of thin air while keeping my Mirrorjade. And even better if you open with virus, you can virus your albion before using expulsion and voila: all counters gone!
The standard combo will go like this:
- Bait out handtraps with your Runick cards and get some draws in. Pretend you are just a standard Runick player.
- After the handtraps are gone, you are free to use Branded Fusion by going into Albion with Ra + Albaz.
- Go into Mirrorjade with Runick monster + Albaz to banish something to get expulsion at end of turn. Don't forget to switch the Activation Confirmation from auto to on.
- If you have virus, use it by tributing albion or mirrorjade if you can get it back with banishment
- Use Branded Expulsion on your Runick monster to gift your opponent the Ra. From now onwards you are free to improvise, but try to keep Ra alive unless you are sure you can OTK.
Optional:
- Eldlich
- 2 Expulsions/Banishment/other spell/trap
- Tcboo (but insane value as Despia)
- Munin
- Kaiju for Golem
