Deck can play through semi powerfull board. Mostly I was starting from VV side, and when I could clear the board with Murakumo -> switched to Mitsu side.
But it can be bricki sometimes. Still feels much better then pure VV with Nadir package.
If Ash on Barrier ends your turn, its better to set the Radiance with Lo, as it can summon Sage.
Extradeck is not that important. Mostly use Dyna Mondo. Sometimes Ashlan, IP->Little, Hope. Ty-phone and Amina i used once. The rest 0.
What about Herald? Somehow with the ratios in the deck it was always more benneficial to use Trias on Diviner. Thus i think you need it in ED as well as Entis, just in case.
