Notes & Combos

For this Qualifier event I decided to go back to Regenesis. I've been meaning to build Regenesis Primite for a while to have an excuse to play Pesanta (my favourite normal monster!), and I've really been enjoying The Fallen & The Virtuous in my other decks which slots into the deck very nicely as we can play Walbaz and Ecclesia which let us search both F&V and Dogmatika Punishment.

I had a lot of fun playing through the event with this deck. This is a rogue deck of course so my winrate against decks like KT wasn't fantastic, but the climb wasn't that bad in the end. Droll and Shifter type effects are pretty rough in particular, unfortunately.

The three engines don't bridge into one another or synergise beyond Pesanta's 2500/2500 stat line coming in handy on occasion (For example, I've added Pesanta with Regenesis because I had Drillbeam in hand and didn't want to play into Maxx "C"), but all three contribute to a very solid grind game and don't care about Extra locks. This also means that your gameplan can change a lot depending on your draws which I find fun. If you draw starters for all three engines, you get a very solid endboard with Regenesis Sage, Drillbeam, Code, F&V and Dogmatika Punishment. Often you'll be missing one of the engines, but that's still strong enough to win games.

Going second, this deck relies a lot on Maxx "C", Lava Golem and Droplet. Failing that, you can sometimes bait the opponent into using their interaction on the Primite or Walbaz portions of the deck, allowing your Regenesis effects to resolve.

Out of the Extra Deck, the Albions and Ecclesias are needed for F&V. You can get away with 1 of each, but I added the extra copies very quickly after trying it out myself. N'tss, Garura, Malong and Mereologic Aggregator are for Nadir Servant. Alba-Lenatus is totally optional, it lets you fuse away your opponent's dragons in niche situations. I summoned TY-PHON a couple times, S:P once, the rest didn't come up.

I played a copy of Dragon's Mind for part of the event as the 41st card, but it didn't feel that good to me. The deck felt strong enough going first anyway, and it felt really bad drawing it going second or going first without a way to end on a 2500 stat monster. I thought about playing Thunderbolt, but the deck was working out well enough that I didn't want to mess with it. If I take this deck to ranked I'll craft 1 to try it out.

VS Lotus.満10原 (2026 Jun 17): Going 1st against Lunalight, shows off the full endboard.

VS Nail (2026 Jun 17): Going 1st against Enneacraft. Shifter, Ash and Dimensional Fissure lock me out of most of my plays, but double Lava Golem saves the day.

VS Raina_Do (2026 Jun 17): Going 2nd against Ritual Beast, Lava Golem clears as usual.
