Notes & Combos

God I love this deck. Don't play the stun variants, pull up your pants and interact with your opponent like a big boy.

This may sound rich coming from a deck that runs DiFi and Shifter, of all things, and you're right. This decks eats dirt to Droll, and can't fight through a Fallen & Virtuous every turn going second unless you can squeeze out an Asta.PIXEA or Archa.TAIL early on. DiFi solves both these issues easily.

Shifter is weird, in that it has won me games on the spot, and other times has been a detriment because it also banishes my Reset and Reverth. You could queue up into Sky Striker and completely stuff them for a turn if they don't open a hand they can set-5 pass on, or you queue into the mirror match and now you don't have Reset and Reverth for orgIA and MAR respectively, which are some of the best cards in the mirror (alongside Leon and Spia). Remove it for non-engine like Karma Cannon, Book of Eclipse, Sol and Luna or Thunder of Ruler if you like, they're all great.

Plays great into Kewl Tune, Branded, Dracotail, and Radiant Typhoon, while also okay into Elfnote variants. Proper sequencing and knowing how to bait out interaction is key.

Does poorly into boardwipes like Mitsurugi, VSK9 if they have the trap, and Tenpai if they have removal. Ruler of Thunder does counter Evenly Matched, though, if that's something you're running into a lot.

Extra Deck does come up occasionally, though it's rare. S:P and TY-PHON are the more useful options, so I put in two of each in case they get sniped by Kashtira or Kewl Tune. 3 Toxic Boxfish is a Funny Little Present (tm) for Kewl Tune if they resolve Clip in GY. This gives them a 1 in 5 chance to eat a negate to a face-up card. Do not craft these, I just got lucky off of the WCQ tickets. It's funny, but not worth the space unless the ladder is truly infested with Kewl Tune. Cooky flips down 2 monsters on either side, which can reset a key Ennea name if needed, and then bridges with a big Ennea name into PEP, which lets you beat over towers like Dogma or Liger Dancer.

Ideally, your Extra Deck choices should be something that you can make easily and force interaction with, even if it never resolves. Closed Heaven is a silly card for bridging into White Woman Jumpscare, but activating its effect can be scary enough to force interaction from your opponent, which may play directly into one of your other Ennea names.

A couple of these games go into the extra deck a little bit to squeeze out a win (an S:P game where it proved pivotal, and a Psychic End Punisher game that was kinda just me BMing).
