Notes & Combos
Pretty standard spright melffy build. Strong against most decks but felt weak going second vs exosister at least for me. Tear is a coin flip depending if you go first or not with melffy package (making herald avramax on their turn is usually game over)
Granted I don't pilot this deck as well as id like to - this will iron itself out naturally.
End board spright elf, ip, catty, carrot if possible otherwise red - sometimes mannequin cat depends on draw rng.
Following opponents turn first priority elf revives jet -> starter, first opponent summon try to go catty into herald of arc light. carrot for evenly, red situational. ip into avramax the usual.
Tried merry melffys but didnt get much value from it.
Ran D.D crow for a while but I ended up bricking too often and not getting as much value from it as I would like to - especially useless vs floo/ghoti/thunder dragon etc. It's good against tear of course, but that match up is so coin flippy I decided to focus more on first turn consistency over trying to counter tear too strongly.
As such, crossout + 2 called by and 3 ash are non negotiable since opponent maxx c resolving is a turn ender.
Added shifter at dlvl 19 when I got sick of tear - good against tear but often a dead card. I may have considered dropping it for more power elsewhere against other decks for similar reasons.
Added Mannequin cat near the end. It never made any real difference in the few games i played with it (alongside anubis), but again more tear/graveyard hate tech.
Almiraj good to have to unbrick solo swap frog. Knightmare unicorn never came up sadly.
Gamma burst wins too many games - any 4 sprights on board is auto win against empty board.
Evenly good against a lot of decks, and dead vs some other decks. I overall preferred playing it since it has high impact often enough to justify it. Imperm very good against many decks choke points and of course kitkallos.
4 material zeus off centaurea is insane value if you can resolve it going second.
I rarely found myself searching out smashers turn 1, though maybe I should have.
Would like to try some other link 4s as well but not sure what exactly.
If I was to do this again I will probably go for full first turn aggro build and coinflip some match ups. I would also play more often during na hours and less during asian hours since people tend to play less obnoxious decks (tear, exosister, floo, etc.)
