Notes & Combos

Decided to try out post banlist dtail, adjusting my m1 list from the start of the month. It's noticeable but doesn't stop dtail from being one of the best decks.

Here's what changes:

• less lukias means doing "full combo" verte line going first will be less frequent/reliable. This doesn't matter if you open Branded Fusion, and absolutely won't matter once branded support comes to md, but still a consistency loss. This is also why I don't think rainbow magician is necessary or even viable anymore.
• Cartesia is annoying cus she's not a true starter/replacement, but when you open her plus a couple dtail monsters she lets you do the verte line so fine she's at 2 now. 3 is excessive bffr
• Rahu. You will notice this change. Contrary to what stupid people think, rahu is a fantastic card going first or second, but ESPECIALLY goind second or for your turn 3 response when you won toss. Less copies of rahu is detrimental and was noticeable afer a while especially when trying to push through interruption. When activation was negated I could no longer set up another one, if you have to set it from deck it's a sitting duck for cards like valius or forced release. I don't think reducing dtail's board breaking consistency/ability was the right move but ok sure whatever. The thing is, even though it's noticeable, it was still fine and won't matter once the branded support comes.

That's actually kind of the running theme here: the hits are noticeable now but are clearly meant to be in preparation for the branded support. So are we getting the support in master duel soon...even though it just came out in the tcg not that long ago? Who knows or cares, but for now it's odd and not how I would have hit dtail........but it ultimately doesn't matter. Dtail is still very strong, you just notice the rahu hit after a while. There's a reason everyone in paper played 3. There's a reason everyone in the top 100 played 3. There's a reason it was limited. And I don't think hurting dtail's going second tools is what the game needs right now when the format is otherwise a coin toss sim with a side of hand comparison.

Oh well, when the new twink comes to md all of these problems won't matter anyways.
