Notes & Combos
This decklist has been serving me well, almost made it to 1600 PTS this season at 1595. 16 starters, 16 hand-traps, and 4 bricks. The banlist has made KT plays into droll pretty often and it's always been good against most decks so I slotted it back in.
Wishes is not the best starter as it discards for cost, but sage is. Piri-reis map gets us to sage and is also a good ash bait. This card has won me games, it plays into droll but IMO a weak deck has to make compromise. Droll killed this deck either way, it just depends on the opening hand. The upcoming support new deep-eyes is the perfect replacement for this card.
Synchro rumble is a good extender, I've been using it for a long time and I stand by it. You can make various play with it even when going 2nd, it's the winning card in some of my replays.
Dominus purge is a fairly strong card, it's like bringing 6 ash blossom. Although it turns off 7 cards in the main deck, it's personally still worth slotting in for me, you just need to sequence it well when opening ash & fydraulis at the same time.
Opening both engine will earn you up to 7 in-engine disruptions. Fydraulis is a strong card, single-handedly improving the win-rate going 2nd.
