Notes & Combos
Hello my fellow associates, next last minute decklist for the current Master season to collect more video material.
This time we are testing a high-engine build. The logic is to only focus on high-impact handtraps, like Maxx C, Fuwa, Droll, Ash and Impulse and up the count of total engine pushes available. Thus, increasing the likelihood of pushing through halfboards.
We also mainly focus on the Queen, Gate, Count lines instead of the Kepler lines, since Kepler normal summons feel bad against droll and FNV running rampant.
Notes:
- More Count Surveyors = more bodies + Queen/Kepler/Coper searcher. Count is excellent in high-engine builds, since we have plenty discard targets. FNV doesn't feel bad anymore
- Big Genghis is typically fused via Count + Swirl going Second. He immediately checks S/T playing into boards.
- Kali Yuga is a good out to backrow-only decks (can be cut tho)
- This build isn't really reliant on our contracts, since we have a lot of bodies to spam. This makes it easier to play against backrow pops via MST (i.e. RT variants) or FNV
- This build doesn't require our normal summon usually, since we have so much engine. This makes Lava Golems way more usable.
- The 2x DSM can search Queen, Count, Ragna and Lava Golem. A lot of versatility.
- Kepler is not a great normal summon this format, since his line is bad against droll and dies to a pop on any contract he searches. The moves are very telegraphed, hence the radical cut.
Breaking boards or playing through 3+ handtraps is a breeze with this build. Highly recommend to try it out.
Replays
Commentated replays and an in-depth tutorial on comboing and piloting, specifically for Master Duel (and other formats) will be published on my channel in the future. Hope to see you all soon :D https://www.youtube.com/@DifferentDimensionDreamer
