Notes & Combos
Hello everyone! After being away for quite a while, I’m finally back with Clown Crew Mitsurugi.
To be completely honest, I don’t think the deck is particularly strong, whether you’re playing this hybrid build or Pure Clown Crew, mainly because Droll & Lock Bird being at 2 is such a pain. Please, just ban this card already.
That being said, the Mitsurugi engine does give Clown Crew a few more lines of play. The additional engine also allows you to build a significantly stronger end board and gives the deck more ways to extend through certain interactions.
The trade-off, however, is pretty significant: you have to sacrifice a lot of hand trap slots to fit the engine.
Personally, I still recommend playing Pure Clown Crew. The extra hand traps give you much more interaction, especially when going second, and give you more opportunities to break the opponent’s board and turn the game around.
Overall, I think the Pure build is more consistent with what I want the deck to do, while the Mitsurugi version is more focused on maximizing its combo potential and end board.
Either way...
Clown Crew is Best Deck with Me.
See you next month with a new list. Until then, I’ll be doing some very questionable research. 👀
