Notes & Combos
I really wanted to reach Master before the Elfnote support drops, so I used a list that can absolutely contend with the Meta decks running around. I also was focused so much on grinding that I somehow managed to forgot to include Instant Fusion ... which is best card in the deck.
Anyway, Nepyrim came in handy so often. Milling it off of Havnis lets you discard another Tear name for a fuse or access a Shuffler. Since you are bound to draw some Charmies or Shufflers going first, the discard doesn't matter.
Fiendsmith continuous to be the best engine to pair Tearlaments with. By far my personal favourite use is Engraver sending your Tear monsters with his effect to trigger them!
For matchups, with Merrli and Perlereino being banned, the deck still is weaker than common Meta decks but can absolutely contend with them. The Shufflers shut down Branded's grind game, Charmies reduce Elfnotes endboard to a level you can break it at, Droll for Piles, Fairy Tail, SS.
The only deck I really struggled against is Dracotail. You want to Havnis a White Albaz, but then they Ketu and you lose on the spot. Arthalion on Kit Turn 0 is devastating, they play through every handtrap you have and their full board is a near instant
In terms of handtraps, it really depends. The Tearlaments core is fantastic against Maxx C and Charmies, Kit with Cryme and a name in hand is usually enough, but the Engines give way too many draws. Droll isn't a real issue either, unless Engraver is the only play. Otherwise, Fiendsmith and Tearlaments plays under it, foregoing at most a trap add. Veiler or Imperm on Kit is fine as well, just get the mill 5 with Engraver.
A bigger issue is Harmonia, which can put Kit back into the ED or worse, into a backrow. Resummon it with Malong to get it back into rotation is fine with there is enough follow-up, Packbit really is an issue, since you can only pop her with Exciton.
Speaking off, Exciton is incredible. There are so many boards it can break if your opponent is caught unprepared and lets you put up two Level 4's on the field, which Nepyrim does easily. It even bridges into Fiendsmith as well afterwards. It often straight up wins the CC or Ennea matchup.
The deck really can win against anything going first or second, provided you have the right hand. Sometimes this bricks on four normal summons and loses to an Ash, which is the main downside of this deck. But it can likewise play through four handtraps and still set up or win on Turn 0.
Replays
This time, the video focuses on going second. With Havnis at three, there is a lot you can do. Sadly, the make Rulkallos with Scheiren and Merrli, then send Havnis to go into Dragostapelia isn't possible, but with 6 Charmis, 3 Havnis, 2 Droll, 1 Maxx C, you have a ton of options even when you lose the Coin Flip:
