I went with increased card count for Darklord Power Patron because the amount of engine requirements/bricks together with the lack of handtraps needed for meta decks didnt feel great in a tight 40c list. No point in adding just the PP starters to a pure Darklord list because you still lose to the same non engine. At one point I was at 50 cards but ended up cutting 1 Dominus Spark (felt weird a lot of times), 1 other Darklord Trap (fallen angel in darkness never came up because this game is just sack city) and Theorealize Overdrive. There are definitely arguments for Overdrive in the deck but it was another brick more often than it was not and you REALLY dont want to open a "dead to 1 handtrap" hand. Opening hands felt definitely better with increased deck size. Maxing out on Fuwa and Purulia because of Elfnote. Ghost Ogre felt great and spot removal is currently better than targeted or non target negates thats why the Rebellion trap over Sanctified. Maxing out on Vidolium and Terminus because you want to preferably see a combination of all your starters. Definitely try the Non-Finito version because it gives you a line under Droll. The Predaplant fusions are the best package for Non-Finitos quick effect, Clockwork Knight turns Vidolia into a starter. Agents-Moon is probably the most cuttable card in the ED but everything came up for me so I wouldnt change anything. Darklord are in dire need of in-archetype extenders, deck is fun but the archetype getting blown out by a single or two handtraps in 2026 is not. Don't think I will continue with Darklord to M1 or continue at all with all those Elfnotes running around.
Replays
Not a lot of quality replays from D5 to M5 because almost all games get decided by the handtrap minigame in this meta, its absolutely degenerate.
