Season 46 Mitsurugi Orcust
Fiendsmith is the more popular and arguably better version but I wanted to play Mitsurugi and I wanted to play Orcust so I'm playing Mitsu Orcust. Mitsu Orcust does have its own merits by offering similar benefits to Fiendsmith (lines around Lancea and engine bridges via Mermaid and Feral Imps) while allowing the ability to play Impulse which is very strong.
Started off at 42c to minimize drawing bricks and Imperm made for a good draw off the Maxx/Fuwa while also pairing well with Impulse, but Imperm isn't amazing this format so I cut them to stick to 40 to maximize chances of drawing the best starters and the most impactful non-engine. Going 2nd this format is basically resolve blow-out handtrap and then attempt to break the half-board.
ED has some flexibility which is pretty nice since the Fiendsmith ED is very tight.
