Notes & Combos
Basically the same list I had from last season for M5 -> M1. The only changes I made were adding a 2nd Pudica (I was running into games where I wasn't seeing a name), removing Utopia and Lightning (not really seeing Spright at all and it was mainly for Avramax), and adding both Aussa (she's kind of nuts at times with Fenrir or going into Atypus) and Exciton.
Things felt not too bad overall. I did run into some hands where I drew like 4-5 Traptrix monsters, some where I drew all traps, and some where I had a Traptrix name, but then couldn't get to another to close things out, however, those feel like normal game issues that I can't help too much. (There was 1 game though where I had double Judgment, drew into Strike, and then drew into another Strike, which kept me from turning Arach into Sera to get going and lost against Purrely, but hey, sometimes its the luck of the game)
I still feel like Lab is my worst matchup. It seems that they always get Furniture going or open Extrav, so even if they go second, if they get even a little bit going, it does too much for me to keep up. (plus, Lady's protection or them chaining their Welcomes as cl2 or higher to prevent me from using normal cards)
Purrely isn't too bad going first, however, when going second, it's basically hope you draw a handtrap to keep them off Noir. The same is true of facing Mathmech and most other decks I feel like.
Besides the 1 Purrely game where I got Kurikara off and it did like nothing since they already had My Friend and the field up, she won me some games against the Thunder Dragon/PUNK/pile decks. Bait Baronne or some other card, tribute the cards, attack over Baronne in defense, take it in the end phase. Not sure if I'd want to run more than 1 right now, but I guess we'll see how it changes as we enter the Arise-Heart format. (I would assume that more than 1 would be better then)
Droll is either a turn ender or doesn't do a single thing. It makes the Lab match-up worse, but could just win against Mathmech/Purrely (depending on when they do their plays)/Dlink/etc.
As for the ED, I never used Exciton nor Asophiel I believe. I think the others at least put in some play.
Replays

- Went first against Mathmech [iroM]
- Went second against Mathmech. Opened Droll with no names. [Chinese? name]
- Went second against a 60 card Thunder Dragon/PUNK/pile [WYOmOYW]
- Went first against Lab [AI CHAN]
The first 2 games are examples of why you shouldn't scoop right away and to not overcook with your decks.
The game against Lab is an example of reading your opponent's cards. (I didn't set IDP as I had been hit by Duster/LS a handful of times earlier in the day)
