🦋Introduction:

꒰(˶• ᴗ •˶)꒱Hiya, fellow duelists! Unfortunately, I am cheating on Striker again for this Master V run with a deck I thought would be pretty strong: Solfa Yummy!

🦋 Deck Overview

• Yummy: The main stars of the show! These little menaces are a compact engine; every Yummy is a one-card starter that can reach the same end board, and have little bricks (3: Surprise and the 2 Field spells). They play quite well into Fuwalos due to Yummy Snatchy being able to Synchro summon multiple times on your opponent's turn, which fuels the disruptions. Problem is that they don't bridge into Solfachord with this deck list.
• Solfachord: For the sub-engine, I opt'd to run the Solfachord engine. I was trying the Witchcrafter variant, but I found that it was a tad bricky. Solfachord offers more normal summons that can provoke interaction, and Solfachord Happiness is busted. It increases our ceiling and gas, too! Coolia and Solfegia provide an omni and monster negate, respectively. Also, it gives more cards to play around Dominus Purge's restriction. Unfortunately, it does deter Dominus Spark use.
• Hand-traps: The main reason I wanted to try out Yummy was just how well it can slot in non-engine, even with sub-engines. Literally half our deck are hand-traps lol! With all these pseudo-FTK decks, we really need the hand-traps to compete.
• Matchups: I was HARD stuck on Diamond 2 for the longest time, due to some factors and weaknesses I note:
  • Fydraulis Harmonia: I'm still new to Yummy, but I keep falling for Fydraulis Harmonia all the time, even if I had ways to play around him. Harmonia on a lonely Snatchy does kind of end my turn sometimes if I don't have an extender.
  • Kewl Tune: Level modulation SUCKS for this deck. One RS or B2B, and it is done for us. Really hope your hand-traps end their turn.
  • Turn 0: Turn 0's cool and all, but man, it generates too much advantage for your opponent. Talking to you, Regina and Faimena.
  • Myself: I kept going into S:P after using Purge from hand. Yes, I'm that bad.
• W:P and Mirage Lights were never used.

🦋Conclusion:

꒰(˶• ᴗ •˶)꒱: Overall, my fastest climb to M5 ever! I had a really cool 10 winstreak! However, games felt way too "hand-trap or bust," which felt like a chore.
