Notes & Combos

So this season I gave Spright another try since it is fully unhit and actually has answers for pretty much every deck in this format.

I have to say however, it definetly feels powercrept. Going 1st with Mannequin cat feels fine, but going 2nd most of the time just feels impossible. The deck simply can't run as much non-Engine as other decks (pure Orcust e.g.) or just play cards that are incredible for going 2nd on their own (EXT Ryzeal or Murakomo). So often you just fall short, despite the fact that I have built my extra deck specifically for going 2nd.

All in all it is still fine however and Mannequin Cat is the main reason:

Against Mitsurugi, Orcust, Lunalight and Fiendsmith she can bring out End of Anubis to often insta-win the game. Originally I even played Rai-Oh for Ryzeal and Blue-Eyes, but I didn't run into those decks that often. Ogre can still help against Blue-Eyes though.

If you run into a lot of Maliss you can also just add a Chaos Hunter to summon off of Mannequin and even that Matchup becomes a joke going 1st. Spright plays well through most handtraps, and can even use droll to get rid of Maxx "C", since the Frog line gets us our full endboard without having to add from deck.

Those are the main targets, so just choose whichever you currently need.

Fenrir is our Earth target and Carrot and Red our Fire Targets. Should you run into a Dark deck that doesn't care about Anubis you can also summon EM:P.

Other than that its a pretty standard list with all the best engines at full copys. I dont run Smashers or the trap, because its a nasty brick going 2nd and going 1st Jet can always search starter to bring out Red or Carrot for an extra negate. I would love to run Gamma Ray Burst tho, but most people just surrender when getting floodgated, so it wasn't necessary. Might have to play it in higher ranks though.
