Notes & Combos
Back with another Chimera Master deck, this time with Fiendsmith. No Azamina because I find it much better to keep to a clean 40 card deck with a decent non-engine package, and the main combo still ends on 7+ inturruptions.
Chimera is a deck which has resilience into Maxx C, with Azamina your hand can be clogged with useless cards when you're forced to play under the roach. Without Azamina, you're more likely to open with more non-engine which is just better when playing under Maxx C and potentially open your Maxx C counters more.
Main combo is 2 card combinations of Gazelle + Mirror/Cfusion which makes a board of King + Mirror (on field) + I:P + Caesar + set Cfusion. These combinations also play through nib, at a minimum ending on King + Mirror (on field) + set Cfusion. Other 2cc make similar boards but have nib choke points
Playing this way makes Apprentice a much better extender, as when your ns Gazelle is negate > summon apprentice, add coatl/mirror, then extend into Duke and extra ns Mirror. You'll still end on Caesar in this scenario.
Duke is the GOAT and makes this way of playing Chimera great.
