Notes & Combos

The new Primite cards dropped, so I decided to do another season playing Blue-Eyes at 60c. It definitely wasn't a walk in the park to just make it to Master V alone. I enjoy playing Blue-Eyes at 60c compared to 40c, yet I can see the "Powerlevel" gap of Blue-Eyes in general getting wider compared to the Top Meta decks. The ban list did help (i.e. no Apollousa), but more should have done (i.e. Ban Maxx C).

Light and Darkness Dragonlord (LADD) / Malefic Blue-Eyes White Dragon (MBEWD): MBEWD + Primite Fusion is instant LADD. Malefic BEWD self-destruction effect and banishing BEWD from the deck doesn't matter as Primite Fusion shuffles the material back to the deck. Most of the time I still aim to get Drillbeam first, but depending on the hand I might go for LADD if I can swing it. "Dragon Master Magia" is a "better" card compared to LADD, but LADD requires less deck space to actually be played. Fun fact, LADD chain blocks, so it can protect your plays from negates and causes your opponent to miss the timing. Yet, The constant "chaining" is a double edge sword as it can work against you as well.

Primite Dragon Nether Berzelius: I tried to make Berzelius work, but it was very clunky to summon in Blue-Eyes even at 60c. I spent sometime playing other decks to make this card work after reaching Master V with Blue-Eyes. I achieved some level of success when splashed with other decks, but nothing rock solid. This card really needs a dedicated deck or at the minimum able to fusion summon during your opponent turn to bring it out at a crucial moment. Maybe Berzelius has a shot of working when Dracotail drops.
