Notable Changes From Season 22 Part 1

Normally I play one deck to Master 1 but I made a plan to test a couple concepts split between Master V and Master I. I go into more detail in this video:

This build's concept is one I found on the mdm discord, shout outs to iPhonz! This deck is not playing Parallel eXceed, a card that has plenty of merits but did not make the cut for Defenser. This plays 12 starters in a 42 card deck (81.81%, drawing Guardian lowers the percentage from 83.25%) which is significantly higher than 9 starters in a 40 card deck (74%). Parallel eXceed is not a bad card - Defenser is similar in quality as an auxiliary engine to pair with Circular or on its own.

14 handtraps are mainly for the mirror, these cards let you be patient as they invest in their board. DD Crow, Reboot, and Belle answer Superfactorial, Maxx "C" forces passes since not many newer players are aware of the 2 card Superfactorial for 2 draws. Nibiru is also effective because you can beat Defenser combos relying on Terahertz to send a 3rd name.

I did the following combo lines: (1) Lone Circular: Terahertz + Superfactorial + Heatsoul. You climb without using Splash Mage and make Terahertz send Dotscaper to link Splash Mage + Dotscaper for Heatsoul.

(2) Circular + Diameter/Add/Sub/Defenser/Guardian/Equation: Terahertz + Singularity + Superfactorial. A sidegrade to the Terahertz + Heatsoul + Conflict Superfactorial board, but with the benefit of saving on main deck space since Conflict and Micro Coder are not required. This board is resilient to kaijus and boardbreakers and provides a lot of avenues for followup due to Singularity's revive.

Matchup Breakdown (44 Duels; 26 Heads, 19 Tails)
  • 6 Mathmech (13.6%, W/R = 100%)
  • 5 Kashtira (11.4%, W/R = 80%)
  • 4 Bystial Branded (9.1%, W/R = 25%)
  • 4 Labrynth (9.1%, W/R = 100%)

I faced at least 1 purrely but handtraps do the job well, I'm not sure if I want to continue playing Kurikara since it rarely got used. For Master I, the build will be more of a pure build.
