Notes & Combos
I climb with Labrynth only this season.
--- Hand Traps:
I added a large number of hand traps for going second. In the current meta, it’s crazy how a one-card combo can easily end on 5+ negates.
I personally don’t like using Droll too much because it conflicts with Dominus, but there simply no better alternative at the moment.
---
Jack & Glitch
The Jack + Glitch combo feels extremely strong when it resolves.
Glitch is one of the rare Normal Traps that can simply pop a card, which gives a lot of flexibility.
I currently run 2 copies of Jack and 4 servants, as I prefer more normal summons instead of just set five and pass when going first.
---
Arias & Trap Trick:
I actually wrote a Python script to calculate the probabilities for Arias interactions with:
- 3 copies of Arias
- 3 copies of Trap Trick
- 6 other Normal Traps that combo with Arias (such as Dimensional Barrier)
the chance of Arias functioning as a hand trap while going second is about 22.8%.
For comparison, running two standard hand traps gives 23.7%.
The issue is that this requires dedicating 12 deck slots just to support Arias. So I eventually cut down to just 1 copy of Arias and no trap trick.

Normal Trap Choices:
I think Dominus cards are exceptionally strong in the current meta, and those alone can cover most situations.
Because of that, I even cut Dimensional Barrier despite how powerful it is against Tune.
And in most games, you lose because you can’t recycle resources, not because you failed to draw the perfect counter trap.
You can always search the traps you need later through Ladies or trap holic anyway.

Simultaneous Equation Cannons (SEC) & Extra Deck:
I initially played 2 copies of Simultaneous Equation Cannons (SEC), and it felt incredibly satisfying whenever it resolved successfully. It definitely help me won quite some games.
However, as I climbed higher it becomes less impactful as SEC was difficult to resolve at the correct timing, and opponents often still had follow-up plays afterward.
I also played 2 copies of Evilswarm because it’s relatively easy to summon when you have Ariane, and I didn’t want PoE banishing the only copy.

Overall Thoughts:
I think Labrynth is very solid in the current meta, especially against Tune and Sky Striker.
The biggest issue right now is the increased usage of Belle, which along with ash, can negate your big welcome.
