Notes & Combos

Snake-Eyes is extremely underrated at the moment and it's crazy powerful when built right. Because 2 of the big 3 decks right now are more midrange than combo (Dracotail and VS/K9), Snake-Eyes can easily break their boards going second, and at the same time, create a near-unbreakable board going first.

Unlike my old Snake-Eye lists i forced myself to keep this deck at exactly 40 cards. You can play it with more cards, and it's still extremely consistent even at 60, but 40 increases the odds of seeing Diabellstar in our hand, who is now arguably the strongest starter in the game. She can set up both Ilia Silvia and a Dragoon before 5 summons, while also getting us access to the full Snake-Eye combo.

Snake-Eye, Mitsurugi, and Azamina have a lot of synergy, and i don't see enough people playing them together. For some reason people would prefer to play Millienium and have a chance of milling a Snake-Eye name, instead of playing Mitsurugi and adding Snake-Eye Ash directly to their hand via Banshee as a standard line in the Mitsurugi combo.

Going second the deck is even better than before, Snake-Eye Oak finally returning has buffed the deck so much more. With Oak back we are even better going second, and now Snake-Eyes can actually play under Droll once more.

The endboard under droll is worse than the normal one, but still quite strong. You'll have a Rank 8 (only in there in case i get Drolled, the normal endboard doesn't have space for it), Flamberge, Princess in GY, A Bao, I:P in spell/trap, and Desirae. Depending on when you get Drolled you might be able to get a Dragoon or Silvia as well.

The normal endboard can be seen in the Tenpai Dragon replay.

A few notes on deckbuilding choices: No Lurrie because it isn't needed and it's a brick. Only 1 of each Snake-Eye name because while Poplar and Oak might be back at 3, they shouldn't be played at any more than 1. If Ash gets unlimited he'll be going to 3 though. Only 2 Fuwalos because it's a brick going first and i needed space. Snake-Eyes Diabellstar is important to make a rank 8 and to extend after handtraps. Plus it's really useful going second.

Another quick tip, after using your Dragoon negate, link it off with I:P, then use A Bao to summon it back. This resets his negate and also stops him getting banished in End Phase from Gaze of Timaeus.

While climbing through Diamond i got a lot of high winstreaks with the deck. If you have all the engines in the deck i highly recommend you try it out.
