Notes & Combos
Notes: This deck has been fun to play but if you are looking for easy wins, I would not recommend Monarch. To play Monarch you will need surgeon like precision to play around droll/ash and, simply put, better high tier decks as you climb the ladder. Monarchs can easily get to diamond however, they require strong deck knowledge to hit masters and beyond.
The ultimate goal of this deck is to resolve Zaborg by tributing a light monster and popping itself or another light monster in order to carefully remove the core of your opponents extra deck.
Ideally you will end your turn going first with zaborg resolved, masterplan + prime monarch in grave, and a turn two game plan.
Know that this deck does not win turn 1 unless you mentally break your opponent, this deck is fairly grind intensive and will go the distance by hopefully outlasting your opponents resourses.
Monarchs in general can brick pretty hard so be prepared. However, this build attempts to reduce bricking as much as possible.
I tested Dogmatika Nexus in this build in order to assist with the struggle of drawing Maximus + Nadir Servant in your opening hand with no way to pitch it to the grave. Nexus can keep Nadir Servant live by allowing for a second target to search from deck with the Tri-Brigade engine. This card can also disrupt your opponents graveyard and has suprisingly been more useful than first thought in practice.
Magicians soul's is incredibly powerful as a combo starter and I would always recommending running at least 1, but I have experimented with running 3. This card not only puts Eidos into the graveyard but can toss your uneccessary spells/traps in order to draw and add consistency to the deck.
Cards that can be replaced/added are, Dogmatika Nexus (although this card is shockingly not as bad as some players may think in this deck), Magician soul's from 2-1 (do not recommend removing this card completly), and adding maxx "C" if you wish. The extra deck is also always subject to interpretation, this is just the core that I found most successful. Nadir servant engine can be removed and replaced all together, however when playing this engine variant I strongly recommend running at leat 42 cards to reduce bricking by opening Dogmatika Nexus.
