Notes & Combos
Been wanting to mesh these two decks together for a long while, but unfortunately labrynth just kept stepping on the twins' toes. With the new support, ki-sikil is full combo, so she doesnt mind the main deck fiendlock or the presence of a lab monster on field, and then the fiend-based synergy simply works. The strength of this deck lies with both archetypes covering each other's weaknesses. Lab doesnt mind charmies or C too much, so you can often end your twin combo early and just set traps, while twins are hand trap magnets that are still able to play through them, so you reveal the lab side of the equation last.
You are mostly playing the basics of either deck, with twins' reliable sources of interruption and Lab's targeted hate, paired with the multiple layers of interaction between monsters, traps and graveyard effects, its hard to dismantle your board, especially when you can back it up with virus or d barrier, depending on what you are up against. That said, a 60 card deck comes with its cost, you will often be playing just one of the archetypes, or sometimes just fiendsmith + random assortment of traps so get pretty comfortable with them individually, they can win games on their own.
Always abuse necroquip's draw effect. You have a lot of monster discard opportunities, the extra card can be the bridge towards the archetype you didnt draw initially or just an useful trap to add one more annoyance to your opponent. The traps used can come down to personal prefence, but this is the line-up I found the most amount of success with.
Depending on the matchup, you need to play this deck very conservatively. If you know you're against k9, the matchup is in your favor as long as you avoid giving them a way to activate izuna or lupis, use furniture in end phase whenever possible if you suspect or know you're against that. Radiant typhoon is a tossup, virus is essential, deplete their resources. Yummy unfortunately is very hard to beat going second, without daruma or d barrier + arias you are kinda cooked, but if youre going first, you should almost always win. Dracotail is usually beatable, even without d barrier, as long as you can keep them away from branded fusion. Some tech cards in the extra deck can be replaced, use what you're comfortable with, dont be afraid to experiment.
