Notes & Combos

Ogdoadic Therion with the new Armored XYZ cards. The deck aims to establish Regulus, Full Armored Dark Knight Lancer, and 1-2 XYZ monsters or 2 level 8s that you can go into the appropriate rank 8 using the Full Armor XYZ trap.

Deck is decently consistent, with Nunu and Snake Rain providing 1-card combos as well as almost any combination of 2 other engine pieces being combo.

Deck can struggle with Apollousa decks, including Snake Eye, but it can be answered by Droplets or Talents if you chose to run that instead.

Example Combos: Snake Rain + Discard:

  • Snake Rain, send Nunu, Night Sword Serpent, Keurse and Nauya.
  • Special Night Sword by its own effect
  • Tribute Night Sword to summon Keurse. Use Keurse's effect to summon Nauya.
  • Nauya adds Ogdoadic Water Lily from deck.
  • Special Nunu from GY
  • Make King of the Feral Imps, detatch to search Lamia.
  • Normal Summon Lamia. Use the effect to search Alasia.
  • Rank KotFI into XYZ Armor Fortress. Detatch 2 and search both Armor XYZ pieces. Then XYZ into Dark Knight Lancer.
  • Special Alasia targetting any reptile in GY.
  • Overlay Alasia and Keurse into Sargas.
  • Sargas add Therion "Lily" Borea
  • Link Sargas and Lamia into I:P Masquerena
  • Summon Lily by targetting Alasia. Send Alasia to search Discolloseum.
  • Activate Discolloseum to search Regulus
  • Special Regulus by targetting Alasia.
  • Use Alasia's effect to summon it from S/T. Discard the Full Armor XYZ trap for the cost.
  • From here you can choose to add back Full Armor XYZ to overlay on your opponents turn, or simply leave it in GY and make Photon Lord or Hope Harbinger. I personally feel as though setting the trap and activating it is the stronger play, as sometimes overlaying for Dingirsu on your opponents turn is very potent.

Strenna and Hyperyton are the only real flex spots. A second King of the Feral Imps and Bagooska are possibly a better option as both do come up although Strenna into Hyperyton does as well.
