Notes & Combos
I wanted to learn the deck by playing a clean Branded build with as few bricks as possible, so this list is based on Lucas Sacco's 2nd place YCS list, with some BO1-focused adjustments.
Ash seems quite weak this format and this deck already has strong Fuwa compromoses so I cut them entirely. Nadir Servant was good both at the end of a combo and as a last push through handtraps, but the extra deck lock made it hard to break boards going second so I ended up cutting it to 2. Similarly, since we don't have Forbidden Crown and Droplet was quite poor on card economy, I cut that to 2 as well. I'll likely swap out the Droplets and Gold Sarc/the 3rd Aluber for 3 Crown once that releases.
Sanctifire isn't the most standard choice in the extra and I mostly played it because I have a royal rare, but I actually found it came up as a decent compromise in Branded Fusion 1-card lines against Maxx C and Fuwa. I'm also not playing Theseus for the KT matchup but I found that just the threat of it was enough to make them end on suboptimal boards in an attempt to play around it.
