Very powerful deck if you can establish Kairyu-shin + Umi + Sea Stealth Attack

Some useful tips I've learned after playing this deck since the selection pack first came out:

• If you already have Umi in your hand, then try to bait Ash blossoms using Warrior of Atlantis.

  • Reasoning and the Pot cards are good baits if you already have ways of getting Kairyushin on the field

• A Legendary Ocean is also a floodgate since it lowers the levels of all water monsters on both fields. This hurts Swordsoul, Spright (with their nimble beaver), and Ghoti. If you have to choose between keeping either ALO or Sea Stealth 2 on the field, I'd keep ALO if you don't know what your opponent is playing.

• Get really good at managing your Sea Stealth Attack timings. Always activate SSA on the Draw/Standby phase on your opponent's turn. You need this active ASAP. Chain your SSA to your opponents backrow removal effects to prevent them from breaking your board. Use SSA to save your Kairyu-shin if you get Evenly Matched. Your monsters can also resolve their effects off the field (in the banished pile) if they are Skill Drained or tageted by Infinite Impermanence. This is one of the best cards in your deck.

• I recommend shotgunning Gozen Match and There Can Be Only One in the Draw/Standby Phase of your opponent's turn IF you have a SSA. Gozen will protect you from Lava Golem and Sphere Mode, whereas TCBOO will protect you from the Turtle Kaiju. If you don't have SSA to protect your floodgates, then keep them hidden and use them in response to your opponents summons to surprise them.

• I highly recommend using the Level 4 vanilla monster (either Skull Mariner or Magicalibra) for a few reasons:

  • Easily searchable with Fish Sonar and Dark Reef
  • They are tribute fodder if you summon them and have no other way of getting a Kairyu-shin on the field
  • There are some great Rank 4 XYZ cards (Stealth Kragen/Bagooska)
  • Skull Mariner can be brought out when Mega Fortress Whale is destroyed
  • If you need to protect your backrow, but you don't want to SSA your Kairyu-shin or Electric Jellyfish, then you can send your Level 4 vanilla instead
  • It helps you OTK on the next Turn. Under A Legendary Ocean, Jellyfish (1600 ATK) + Skull Mariner (1800 ATK) + Kairyushin (2200 ATK) + Whale (2750 ATK) = 8350 LP
