Notes & Combos
I am honestly INCREDIBLY impressed by this archetype, I went into playing this thinking "trap holes? how the **** does a deck made around trap holes do anything going second??" but man was I wrong, just by having a few hand traps + evenly if you are able to limit your opponents end field you can play through quite alot. Parallel, Arachno, garden and holeutea are just such great extenders considering the deck literally only needs one monster on field to make a link 1 to get going.
Couple of things to note for those interested:
- I found myself ending on Time theif VERY often as opening hands that start with like 2-3 traps don't really require raff on field (especially since her trap pool will be limited anyway with you opening them) so he is a 100% MUST play card imo. (make sure to summon him using the trap and BEFORE using arachno so you don't lock yourself!)
- Exciton Knight into Zeus was also something I did fairly regularly so probably should run that combo too
- I think most people are on 2 gravediggers which honestly sounds fine but definitely not necessary as it's easily recyclable
- Deck NEEDS called by/ash blossom. Originally wasn't playing called by as I thought "trap deck, if they maxx me i'll just set some traps and pass!" this was bad thinking. I am yet to win a SINGLE game where my opponent resolved maxx C. So yeah add that stuff this deck wants to special A LOT.
- Cularia is something I know people in the TCG cut and after testing the her I would disagree, I've summoned her a whole bunch and each time felt really good and was an integral part of winning. Only effect I used her for though was generally the re-summon of a monster back from grave during end phase for more recursion. (normally made with sera otherwise can just do this with allo), definitely not a required card though if you want to save the UR material and it's normally used as a target for prosperity cost.
- I'm pretty sure I had a 70%+ win rate against Labrynth specifically, since this deck basically beats any trap deck as soon as sera hits the board (since shes immune) and the few that thought Virus was a good card vs this deck got a nice wake-up call when sera just kept setting them from deck and dionea would set the ones destroyed back from the grave lmao.
- Never summoned bagooska or Underworld goddess, so probably the weakest extra cards

- Deck only really has 3 main combos (that you build apon) so just watch my combo guide and you'll know how to play this. Listed below
