Notes & Combos

Whew! made it into Master 5 finally! It's been a long time coming. when orcust and mitsurugi came out that is when I decided i should try my hand, and watching the meta weekly i felt like this deck was severely under represented/rated. The main advantage is you obviously get access to Dominous Impulse without locking out your strategies. Here are some of my changes that happened along the journey.

I considered brass bombardment but it felt bricky and really was for next turn play which felt too slow/inconsistent plus i wasn't running orcustrated return which is another brick in the deck. I did try out pre-preparation rites but that added another brick with already so many bricks and a packed deck already it felt bad so i went from a higher count back down to a 40 card build and played it as low to the ground as possible.

i even cut the 2nd droll as when i opened it with against dracotail it felt terrible which i added magatama which actually won me a few games after someone would somehow remove my mitsu ritual i could continue play. and it was a nice flex spot to remove face up cards through tributing a reptile.

I think the other strength is that until King of the Feral Imps is banned this deck can bridge back and forth to both engines with nightmare mermaid as the bridge for mitsu to orcust while at the same time ending on both mitsu and orcust for an insane near unbreakable endboard.

Also i swapped out Dyna mundo for Barricadeborg blocker as he could help with preventing my field spell destruction especially against dracotail which helped insulate it from immediate removal.
