Notes & Combos
One of the toughest climbs I've had so far to reach master. Yummy and Draco are very obnoxious to play against going second with this deck. Final list has a Lightning Storm to try to deal with draco and yummy's back row, but you can switch it for nib too, even though it's kinda useless against draco, but at least can work as ritual fodder for the megalith monsters.
I was split about using Raven, but I ultimately think it's a good starter or at least can bait a disruption. Mitsu and Mega work pretty well together, but the more I played, the more I came to conclusion the less Mega monsters, the better. Too many of them and you end up bricking a lot. Unformed is the best starter for the Mega cards, usually summoning Hagith by tributing a Mitsu ritual. There's also a pretty cool way to bridge from pure Mitsu and no Mega cards in hand to full Mega combo through Granite + Ashlan (2 Mitsu lv4s into Granite -> search Hagith or Aratron, link Granite and Habakiri into Ashlan, search another Haba or Murakumo, reveal with Ashlan to search the other Mega and use the remaining Mitsu as tribute for Hagith + search prayers). FS engine is super tight and worth it, you don't really need the extra too much and it's only purpose is going into Caesar or baiting an early Nib so you can make the rest of your plays without worrying about it. Also if it goes through, the double summon negate is super super good right now against the meta.
Going 1st is super fun to play and can put a pretty good field. Going 2nd you will suffer to play through disruption unless you have a very good hand. Droll kills completely the deck. Maxx c screws you pretty bad too, but there's lines to mitigate it (passing on Murakumo + Phul to make plays on the opponent's turn). I tested a bigger Mitsu engine with Purification, Mirror, Pre-Prep and Futsu for a while, it's good but I wanted to stick to 40 cards so I cut them, but if you're willing to go beyond 40 I'd encourage using. Preparation of Rites is also a useful card as it can search Raven or a low level Mega and also recycle Mitsu Ritual if it gets stuck on the GY.
Manju is the only NS of the deck, you can play more of it, too, just felt there was nothing I'd cut for more copies under 40 cards.
All in all, despite struggling a lot to climb and hitting some big loss streaks (Went twice from D1 back to D3) due to bad hands or losing the coinflip a lot, I'm loving this deck and I hope ritual summoning gets more generic support soon.
