Notes & Combos

I played a quick 12 games from Diamond 2 up to Master 5 with Lunalights. Here's how the deck performed:

  • Overall Win Rate: 83.33%
  • Win Rate Going 1st: 80.00%
  • Win Rate Going 2nd: 100.00%
  • Average Game Length: 2.00 Turns

This Lunalight deck played great through this Vanquish Soul x K9 (VSxK9) ladder. I played four VSxK9 decks in a row during my final four matches. VSxK9 is a great deck that I'll probably use to climb to Master 1, but the ladder is saturated with it, so I wanted to play Lunalight for this run to invoke some counter-play.

Looking back at my opponents' decks, none of them ran any outs to Liger Dancer. Droll did a lot of heavy lifting to stop VSxK9 decks after they normal summoned Razen, as well as Mitsurugi decks that activated Prayers outside of the Draw Phase. Impulse is still the best handtrap in the game at the moment, and any deck that can run it should do so. I think Lunalight is a sleeper hit this format since Ryzeal and Maliss have been nerfed; it has a great matchup against the top three decks at the moment (Dracotail, VSxK9, and Yummy).
