Notes & Combos
After 3000 years, Konami finally released the Twins support… and they’re not top tier. But honestly? They’re still really fun.
The deck got a massive boost from the new Link-1 and the new Lilla. Now you’re not as reliant on your Normal Summon as before, and that alone changes everything. It opens up so many lines. The deck feels way more flexible and way more explosive.
One of the things I really like is how versatile it is. If you want to go into the Rextremende lines, you can. If you open Paradise, you can just make Desirae instead of Caesar, or even if you want to do Knightmare Unicorn. The options are there.
And the best part? If you get interrupted, most of the time you can still keep going. The deck has so many branching paths that one hand trap doesn’t just end your turn anymore.
In this version, I’m also running the Unchained package. It gives you an extra interruption, and in my opinion, it’s absolutely worth it. It has saved me in so many games. Sometimes that one disruption is the difference between winning and losing.
I play a smaller Live Twin package because I really don’t want to see multiple Normal Summons in my opening hand. That just feels bad. I prefer space for non-engine.
I’m also running Sanct. With how many people are playing Droll right now, Sanct feels really strong in this format.
I decided to run Fancy Ball instead of SP Little Knight. The reason is the same reason I’m running Ghost Belle — there are way too many graveyard effects in the current meta.
Most of the time, your end board will be something like: Caesar, Sunny, A Bao, and maybe a set Chamber.
It’s a good deck. It runs a lot of non-engine. And even though it’s not on the level of the top meta decks, it can definitely compete.
And honestly? That’s enough for me.
(Tip: if you can make Ceasar before your life twin plays is usually a good idea trust me)
