Tech Choices
Jurrac Megalo in the main deck and Jurrac Astero + Meteor in extra deck, to setup a board wipe. You can also send Jurrac Astero with Extra-Foolish Burial.
Why 60 over <55 cards?
The 60-card build trades solo starter access for better brick card dilution (less double Hakva/Emva in your hand) and access to tech cards like Pankratops and Ryu-Ge End. I managed to get a 9 win streak in Diamond with this deck.
Flex Spots
- Main Deck: Any of the handtraps depending on the meta
- Extra Deck: Baronne, Tornado Dragon, 2nd Varudras
Strengths and Weaknesses
-
Primary Weakness: Drolls hurts the deck as it heavily relies on searching. A good play into an early Droll is to end on Astero in the GY through Misc or Extra-Foolish Burial, to setup a board wipe.
-
Pros & Consistency: Offers a higher end-board ceiling compared to Pure Dino. Anva's negation and destruction effects are great for turn 2 plays.
-
Handtrap Resilience: Capable of baiting interaction (mainly Impulse and Ash Blossom) before committing to the main Dino engine. Unlike Pure Dino, a well-timed Ash on Misc does not end your turn. The deck can also play reasonably well into Maxx C and the Mulcharmies, often relying on the continuous spells as interruptions via Mistva in exchange for the opponent drawing 2 to 3 cards.
