Notes & Combos

The season started off alright, although, as soon as I hit D4, I lost 3 games in a row to derank. I then made it up to D1 in 35 games (overall), spun my wheels for a little (got 1 win away from M5) and deranked to D3 after 7 losses in a row. At this point, I tried a Traptrix Zoo deck, and was not doing too well, as I wasn't winning games always when going first. (probably due to a misplay here and there [like holding Barrage and instead of adding Drident to my opening board] or not great luck with my openers)

After a few days, I came back with my last season's list with a few changes (+2 Maxx C, +1 Belle, +1 Nib, -3 Droll) and was able to go from the bottom of D3 -> M5 in 22 games. I think Snake-Eye being in the meta helped, since I usually did well against it, even when going second.

As for match-ups, both Branded and VS seem hopeless no matter if I go first or second. The only real times I've beaten Branded were if I got Shifter live turn 1 or set up Bagooska going first with Sera + Holeutea. As for VS, I usually need to open a few Solemns and have follow-up. You can sometimes win through TT clearing the field if they don't get too far ahead as well.

Mathmech + SHS all depend on if you go first and if you open a good handtrap going second. Nothing new here.

Snake-Eye seems pretty doable at the moment. (although.. I did go first in 7 of those games and lost the one I went second in since I couldn't get a name and they out advantaged me) The Solemns were really good though to stop them from going plus with their summons.

I didn't have Maxx C in the deck until I deranked back to D3, as I was a bit tilted with how things were going, and wanted a power handtrap to help me potentially go second some of times besides Shifter, as Droll can be pretty mid depending on the match-ups.
