Notes & Combos
I’m having a blast playing Fire King Jurrac. There aren’t many one-card combos in this deck. However, Jurrac helps you get more interruptions. After playing both the pure version and the Jurrac variant, I think Jurrac is the better one, even though Megalo and OG Kirin are bad cards by themselves.
To give some context, sometimes you can’t extend your plays because this deck is full of bricks. Megalo, Sacred, OG Garunix, and other cards don’t do anything when you need to play through interruptions. That’s why I’m running two Miscelanosaurus. In the worst-case scenario, it at least gives me access to a board wipe.
I also tried running two Sky Burn. It’s a good card, but sometimes you don’t have a Normal Summon and you draw two Sky Burn. When that happens, you just lose.
In the end, I’ve had a lot of fun playing this deck so far, but it might need more experimentation. Maybe removing one Sacred Garunix or even Arvata. I also tried running One for One, but this deck has too many 1.5 cards like Ulcanix, Sanctuary, and Island, so I’m not a big fan of One for One in this case.
Also, something I forgot to mention: this variant has an easy matchup against Dracotail and Mitsurugi. You can bait Murakumo’s negate and then destroy everything with Meteor. Summoning Meteor on “turn 0” against Dracotail basically wins the game instantly.
