Notes & Combos
Straight back from vacation and I feel much more relaxed right now. Since the season is also ending soon, so I wanted to test some new stuff with ComboTrix. And what can I say - it turned out to be an absolute blast!
On Tuesday (26/8) I started climbing the ranks from D5>D4>D3>D4>D3 with last month's list. This was just the standard experience because of bad hands, too many interruptions, Maxx C, Droll, or simply losing too many coin tosses...
However, but on Wednesday (27/8) I came to the conclusion that the deck needed more consistency. Including the SHS engine allows you to make an early Pinguicula with a specific search depending on the game state (mostly Pudica or Myr), while also placing Sera on board without using your NS which you can then use to expand your combos. In addition, you can also use the two level 4 bodies to make Rafflesia if you feel unsafe in case of Nibiru. Unfortunately, I was only able to play two ranked games that day because of work.
On Saturday (30/8) i was crushing through D3>D2>D1>M5 with a winstreak of 11 and only losing one single time out of 14 games to a very skillful Melodious player. Such fun.

Some notes
- Ultimate Slayer - best card of the format for breaking boards
- IFB/Nemesis Flag - recycles combo starters like Strenna, Sera, Jasmine or Lily Borea. In addition, IFB also works well with the field spell for some extra shenanigans
- Protos - searchable and very devastating against Maliss. You can even leave the IFB on field and call FIRE. Ryzeal does not have much outs against Protos besides a) running it over with the Utopia package, or b) using cards like Typhon/Zeus
- This used to be a 60 cards list but cutting down to 50 cards feels much better. You don't need a second/third copy of your extenders and two Ultimate Slayer or **Lancea ** are enough
- Extra deck space is, as usual, very tight. But if you want a better matchup against BE/synchron spam you can cut Almiraj/(Rafflesia) for Wind Pegasus @Ignister
Replays
You can check out some replays on MD, ID: 588-868-292
I added some newer replays
- Replay 2: Traptrix vs. Lab
- This duel clearly shows you how far you can extend and what crazy plays are possible if you aren't interrupted Normally, standard Traptrix lists get heavily hit by Evenly Matched and Superpoly, but this combo variant isnt nearly as vulnerable
- Replay 1: Traptrix vs. Maliss
- Playing through Veiler, Ash, Imperm, (Druis) and still ending on a strong endboard
