Notes & Combos
Starting testing out DoomZ a month ago as an alternative to Artmage and I've tried different variations:
- DoomZ Artmage (just nah)
- Pure DoomZ (viable)
- Pure DoomZ w/Bamboo (viable)
- DoomZ FS (viable)
It's not my preference to play with FS, but I got frustrated with the Bamboo version and after being 1 win away from D1 3 times with either Bamboo or Pure, I just threw in some FS and it worked. At least I'm not playing Moon!
This deck isn't as dependant on going 1st as Artmage and it has some good results going 2nd. You can prolly even do blind 2nd with a bunch of board breakers. I opt for a handtrap heavy deck bc that can help regardless of whether you going 1st or 2nd.
Going to try adding more equip cards to the deck to get use out of Diactorus.
Diamond climb stats with this deck:
WR: ~65% Going 1st: ~70% Going 2nd: ~55%
Still a lot to learn when it comes to optimizing every hand and play, but this is a fun alternative to add and I'll be very much looking forward to the new support.
My ideal board is Regulus, Sargas, Drastrius, Raiders, and Destruction. On top of that, Caesar, if playing FS.
