Notes & Combos

Did a speedrun this season to avoid stressing about finishing the climb right before the month ends. Personally I feel like the game has gotten harder over the last couple of months. It's so easy to rank down right after you rank up because losing 3 in a row is just something that happens a lot. I also come across bad runs pretty often where I'm just convinced that a certain deck isn't good enough. For example, I got to Master 1 with Maliss last season, and I really struggled to climb with it this season. Technically, nothing's really changed from last season to this season, but it just all of a sudden feels like I'm having a really hard time climbing with it. It's hard to pinpoint a reason. Did I get lucky last season or was I just unlucky this season? It's hard to say, but I made the swtich to this deck and it worked for me. (Tearlaments is also kinda mid btw, I tried it for a bit)

Crown was really good. The thing about this deck is that it's good under Fuwa, playable under Droll, but in both cases, you still need strong non-engine to backup your half boards, and Crown is just the perfect card for that.

Didn't love Droplet. Obviously very mid going first and going second, I think it's only effective in dealing with some half boards.

F&V I felt quite indifferent about. It does help back up your own half boards like Crown but it just feels very underwhelming because it's only really good in broken/simplified game states and it feels like games are more often lopsided than closely contested. This card does nothing if you go second with no hand traps. I guess you're supposed to play these with Droplet to maximize them but I also felt that Droplet was mid so I don't know, having a bunch of Quick-Play's to send off of Droplet does nothing when you're playing into Rhapsodia.

Full Zoo lineup in the Ed because Droll lowkey reduces your engine to just producing an Utopic Draco Future, so being able to also make a Drident makes a meaningful difference.
