Notes & Combos

Not really much to say. Maybe I was wrong, Rex is interesting this format. Even tho at the highest level of competitive gameplay you'll mostly see decks dinomorphia has no business beating going 2nd without drawing ferret flames + solemn + frenzy + domain or a equally cracked hand, the ladder is populated by people coping on kashtira, a deck Dinomorphia beats easily, even at full power. Purrely is a coin flip matchup, the deck hardly beats us going 2nd and we hardly beat them going 2nd, unless either player draws the out and presses the soft go 1st button. We suck extremely bad against mikanko, so anyone playing the deck watch out for it. About the other meta decks:

  • Dragon Link is a very interesting matchup, but in the end you're playing a deck that can't even make it to rogue, so we can beat it, but don't expect any sort of auto-win duel. Just PLEASE don't let your opponent get to beast. That card is extremely annoying to deal with.
  • P.U.N.K. is drawing the out for sharakusai going 2nd and just establishing and protecting a rex going 1st.
  • Branded is weird rn. They have the potential of just clearing 2-3 of your backrow in the end phase if they go 1st, but the combo heavy version of the deck doesn't really like being under rexterm as much as the midrangy deck from last year. Coinflip simulator if your opponent knows what they're doing. Or you can just be good and draw Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring.
  • Swordsoul, no matter what happens, can be simplified to watching out for vishuda.
  • Just don't play against rikka, they aren't real ;)
  • Labrynth you just gotta win the coin flip like a good Yu-Gi-Oh! player. As much as people wanna deny, the EEV combo is extremely accessible off a 2-card combo and a few different 3 card combos and is an auto win the moment it resolves. That said, going 1st it's not all flowers either and the game is very grindy and open to game losing misplays from your side.
  • floowandereeze you just gotta win the die roll too.
  • naturia runick is weird, you're ultimately on the disadvantage and will lose if the opponent knows what they're doing. Their grind game is very competent and we've got no ways to deal with the recurring 0 attack mole, so they can often stall you out until you just run out of resources.
  • Spright is mostly win the die roll, done that, watch out for smashers. You can win going 2nd tho, but you gotta open good and you need non-engine.

My conclusion is: Intact is such a good card, why can't they just release it.

If I'm not running UR X and you wanna know why, such as azalea or evolzars, it's probably because i'm poor. Except lilith over fossil dig, I like lilith, she looks cool and dodges targeted negation.
