I had 11-1 streaks with this from M3 -> M1
This meta was a bit rough, but in a different way from the super poly meta.
The ladders are flooded by Mikanko and Purrely, so you have to know your match up very well, esepecially the Mikanko.
Engine-to-engine wise, you can definitely win against Mikanko. Be patient on your timing on fusion traps, don't shot gun it. You can use fusion trap to dodge their equips, and Brute/Sonic can deal with them as well. No need to summon your monster in attack, as they have 0 Def so they will not be destroy by Mikanko.
As for non-engine. In this meta where Kaiju's popular, you would need to play floodgates like Gozen/Rivalry so you'll be safe from Kaiju and Lava golem. Yes I know, floodgate, but here me out. It's for our sake, to protect our dinos, it's not like we want to floodgate out opponents!
Also Gozen/Rivalry help against Purrely, so they can't Nightingale direct attack you.
Maxx "C" is cringe so I don't use it (It never resolves anyway)
