Notes & Combos

The main advantage that code talker has over mathmech is that it has a better turn 1 match-up against most of the top decks.

I think Red Reboot is really good this format. It's good against many of the top decks. If you don't want to play Reboot you can play Gamma or Droplet instead. Gamma will help you stop Droll and Maxx "C" a little more often.

While Cynet Optimization isn't mandatory to play I've always liked it. It protects you from Nibiru by being able to get out Iblee early. It streamlines combos and keeps you on dark codec lines when you open Micro Coder + Cynet Codec + a cyberse, so you don't have to go into Inverted early (if you don't play optimization it increases the difficulty of the deck because it's very easy to search wrong on certain hands). It also addresses a weakness of the deck, which is the deck is vulnerable to normal summon destruction. It also gives you an out to I:P Avramax.

I played Mathmech Addition over Subtraction because boosting atk can be important this format and it is used for an otk line where you can end on Transcode (3800 atk) + Firewall + Alembertian and force out nibiru before you make update jammer accesscode. It's potentially worth it to play mathmech equation in this format. When going down the firewall nibiru line if they wait to nibiru you, you are able to search circular and will be able to otk through nibiru without any extra extender if you play equation. The problem is equation is a brick and it loses games for you as well so you will need to test it for yourself to see if you like the trade off.

If you want to have more protection from Nibiru you can play 3 Iblee + Piri Reis Map (can search Iblee) and go up to 60 cards. I'm still only playing 1 because I am more concerned about bystials than Nibiru.
