Notes & Combos
Procrastination climb to M1. 15-5 in the last 20 games.
Lab is inherently flawed:
- It lacks consistent access to its main engine as it can be stonewalled by non-engine like Belle/Ash/Impulse.
- Often, after it stops the opponent's plays for 1 or even 2 turns, it lacks follow-up.
- There are cards or combinations of cards that are either bricks or low value, often leading to low quality hands.
The addition of a synchro/F&V pkg with 3xWalbaz is intended to address these issues while keeping Lab's inherent advantages like being strong into cards like the Charmies/Ghost Ogre/Maxx C/Droll/Nib and accessing powerful hand-traps. Regular Albaz is too bricky and not considered.
Main deck:
- Cutting commonly-played Lab cards like SEC/Rollback/Trap Holic while playing Furniture/Butler at 1 is in service of improving overall hand quality/consistency.
- F&V is inherently a strong card, providing multiple turns of removal or proactive plays by searching Walbaz.
- Walbaz->Ecclesia->Crimson King->NS Soul Resonator (Crimson Call is too bricky)->search Furniture means Walbaz is a Lab bridge that also sets F&V. If Soul Resonator is unneeded, then end on Draco Berserker.
- The other idea is to overwhelm non-engine, both in terms of card advantage and pushing through plays by having too many proactive plays to be stopped by non-engine while not overcommitting into Nib.
- Song of the Dominator played at 1, due to its conflicts with Fuwa/Harmonia. Still usable as a hand-trap especially if drawn with Furnitures/Dominus traps, but more restrictive and preferably activated from the field.
- Fuwa has been an effective hand-trap from my experience and the attribute conflicts have not been an issue. I am always happy to see it going second.
- Magnamhut searches for WAlbaz and Harmonia and can be bounced by Big Welcome, meaning it is disruption or starter for the upcoming turn as well as a GY banish.
- Everything else in the list is commmon in Lab.
Extra Deck:
- While seemingly wasteful, the high # of Albaz fusions is to provide more flexibility on the order that Walbaz/F&V is accessed.
- Prima Donna can recycle Lovely if it's banished. It can be replaced with Wind Pegasus or 3-Champions. It's just that Wind Pegasus is locked by both Dominus traps and is generally a worse option than Packbit/Malong.
- Draco Berserker is an endboard piece and is decent into boards.
- Chaos Archfiend breaks boards/ends games.
Replays

Most of the replays are from the stage 2 DC. I didn't do too well in the DC - not just because the deck isn't the best for DC but also because I was testing different builds, time constraints and misplaying often as I just got back to the game. Despite of this, I think the late-season ladder games were generally lower quality as I felt there were more misplays from my ladder opponent.
