Notes & Combos

This archetype is a lot of fun to play, enough to motivate me to reach M1 after a few seasons, even while losing 2/3 of the coin flips ⌐_⌐ And yes, I know it’s a meta deck, but not every meta deck is fun, especially when you keep losing the coin flip and have to go second.

Since the release of June and the Power Patron cards, a whole new set of possibilities and interactions has opened up, making the deck feel fresh again and a lot more resilient.

The main deck list is pretty standard overall, but I wanted to experiment with a few different cards in the ED to see what works.

This list is very similar to the one I used in the DUELIST CUP, with a slight tweak in the ED. I noticed I rarely used Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon, since its only real benefit was bringing Elfnote Power Patron back from the GY, which could then be used to extend. But after that, Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon often ended up sitting unused on the field.

Instead, I decided to replace it with Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, which gives up to 2 negates and was very useful in the mirror match. Being a Level 7, it’s also easy to access
