This season has been very tedious for me, so I am going to have to keep the notes sparse this time.

I tried playing my handtrap variant as I did in the last seasons, but I just was not able to climb.

With the new build I was able to go from M5 to M1 in 24 hours.

Yes you are seeing it correctly, no hand traps at all. Going 2nd happens for me 56% of times and going first 46%. That is why I decided to stop playing hand traps, because currently they dont stop the opponent from playing and the Branded Engine with board breakers is just the better approach.

Besides that, I got super tired of having my HT negated just to go -1 going 2nd. With the new build I remember bricking once, that should speak for itself.

You surely wont win every game, but you are going to have a good chance at winning against the current top tier decks going 2nd.

Double Merc, one Tragedy plus 3 Allure has been very good. I am a huge fan of allure anyway, but I always felt like I had a better chance at winning opening allure with Merc or Tragedy. Drawing cards is just amazing.

Spoly is still my favorite board breaker and I was not missing droplet.

Thrust + Fusion Duplication was something I was sleeping on. These 3 cards together are probably better than 3 Fuwalos.

Duster was important.

My 49th card was grass, with this lower deck count one could argue against it, but going 2nd you are most likely to get a decent mill, it is an ash target and the card itself always offers a play. I dont remember bricking on grass because of going first.

Garura and Tryph in the ED for spoly targets, Tryph still very nice right now because of all the dark types.

All else pretty self explanatory.

Honorable mention is probably Evenly Matched. My homie @Juless is running a similiar build currently with 3x Evenly Matched and he seems to be climbing very effective with it.

Apologies to the friends in the Branded channel who had to constantly endure me getting mad. Again this season was rough for me.
