Notes & Combos
Same list as my D5 -> M5 climb.
Started off my climb with a 12 winstreak streak.. then spun my wheels around in M3 for a bit, but eventually got into M2. M2 wasn't going too badly until I got to my rank-up match where I went first and bricked.. against Purrely.. and then the next game was against Purrely where I went first and bricked there as well. The next handful of games I lost following that were due to things like Drytron opening Evenly (2 in 45 cards) when I went first and Endymion opening Red Reboot when I went first and had a weak field.
Some games this season felt nuts though. One game, I had Raff + Sera + Fenrir + Kino + 2/3 set s/t and my opponent opened Widow Anchor + Raigeki + LS. Luckily.. it was Striker that bricked though, so I still won.. but there is definitely an increase in Raigeki/LS/Duster thanks to Thrust (that I didn't see really at all) and things like Kash not having negates to stop that.
Lab is still a very iffy match. It also seems like they always open Arianna.
Purrely is such a menace as well. Besides adding in a Thrust package + Herald of the Abyss or getting lucky with Droll / them not getting the field spell, I'm not sure what I'd want to change for the matchup.
Opening things like Kuri + Fenrir + Garden and no names felt horrible, but in theory, since 2 of those are at 1 and Fenrir is at 2.. that shouldn't happen often.
IDP wasn't bad. Never really bricked on it. If you want, you could swap it for Barrier, but I like the extra removal against things like Lab that don't target and the like.
TT was nice as well. Without Tear really being around a ton ton, if you hold it, you can just clear some things. Can still be a little rough against Kash though if they open Birth.
The Solemns were nice, but if you want, you could maybe swap a copy or 2 of Strike for something like Nightmare if you want to make sure you always have a trap to discard for Holeutea. Just have to keep in mind the restrictions as the trade-off.
Every card in my ED was used except for Exciton. I guess if you want, you could add Ariseheart for the cheese if you open Fenrir against a Kash board. Probably better if you run CoH/TTT though.
I did run into a handful of Red Reboots and lost 1 game since I used Judgment on a Dlink summon instead of Floodgate and was then hit by Red Reboot.. such a painful card...
While some decks are consistent, things can feel super sacky too with Geki/LS/Duster/Reboot/Evenly/Thrust. Just open the right cards : )
