Another season, another Ninjas M1! The Kashtira meta is way more in our favor than the Purrely meta, and we've got some new tech with Daruma that helps in the bad matchups like Purrely, so Ninjas are overall a great deck to be running right now. Flipping a Kashtira monster facedown on summon is basically an OTK vs that deck, and I added Kurikara and Nibiru to help a bit with going second. Kurikara may as well be an OTK vs Kash as well, all you have to do is get something banished to trigger Arise's effect and you can tribute Shangri and Arise at the same time. If they have any random other Kash monsters out, try to bait their effects so you can tribute their entire field. If you get 4 monsters, Kurikara + Maxx C can OTK them lol.
Also, last kash tip, if you can get 2 ninjas out, just make Meizen. Arise effect IS NOT optional so you're guaranteed to trigger his effect which triggers Meizen and gets Jioh out to flip 2 facedown permanently. Really helps a lot going second when you're playing to break their board.
I stuck with the shield bearer tech, I think it's a staple at this point. Didn't really use hop ear that much but it did come up occassionally. Elf into gigantic into downerd into Zeus comes up A LOT vs Kash, especially after eclipsing because you don't want them to draw, so this is 100% an include IMO. Eclipse is kinda bad without it tbh.
I also added OG notebook so playing 2 Jioh's doesn't feel so bad. Your 1 Jioh will randomly get banished off the top of the deck and it feels really bad, so I think 2 is the way to go in this meta, though I still prefer 1 if I have the choice. OG Notebook does have the benefit of not being ashed, so that's good. I know some people like to run Alchemy with it but I usually want to search other cards instead, and alchemy can be bricky in some situations like top decking, so I prefer to not use it.
Anyway, enjoy and happy grinding, good luck my ninjas!
