Prerequisites

  • A registered Konami ID linked to your master duel game
  • Must login to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB using the same Konami ID
  • If the Yu-Gi-Oh! DB website asks to login with Game Card ID just click "I don't have a game card ID" and fill some basic information to proceed

Export Guide

- Via the MDM extension (Recommended): Download on Firefox, or Chromium Browsers
For Chromium browsers (Chrome/Edge/Opera/Brave...etc) just click "Add to chrome" on the store page and it'll work on most if not all chromium browsers.
After using the extension, go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

  1. Click here to copy the export code
    2.
  2. Go to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB and click My Deck => Add a Deck
  3. Once the deck page loads click Edit then do one of the following based on the platform your device is running:
    • (PC Only): Press F12 to open the DevTools window => Navigate to the Console tab in the window => Paste the export code => Hit Enter
    • OR (Other platforms/PC): In the address bar of the current tab remove the URL and type "javascript:" without the quotations then paste the export code, then if you're on mobile look for the *globe* icon and tap on it to run the code (Chrome only), for PC users just hit enter.
  4. The deck will save automatically
  5. Go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

Notable Changes From Season 45

Only made it to M5 during Season 46 but there's a few changes since then. See below for previous build:

For a short summary, I made a call for Maliss & Orcust which is why I decided on Lanceas. I wasn't happy with Fuwalos vs Mitsurugi and Maliss since you definitely needed more than 1 starter to push through, and often non-engine like Droll or Impulse preventing your Backup push sealed the game. I could probably play more Belle & Nibiru as well as Baldrake.

Now for the changes:

  • Live Twins. I was originally playing Armored Bitron but realized in combination with Backup you could not beat Ash. I believe these cards should act as pushes and having 1 handtrap stop 2 pushes is not acceptable. Live Twins are the next best DARK targets that encourage your opponent to handtrap so that Backup properly punishes it.

  • Achichi. Now that a copy of Called By is gone, I wanted to play Small World as a way to replace it. Small World can search Ash while doubling as engine. Achichi is a FIRE that bridges with most of the cyberse cards for Ash. I noticed that this also makes the desperation play of A.I. Connect shuffling a non-DARK since this adds Backup and gives you an additional body for Backup to SS. Normal Summon Backup is very weak and should be avoided. So I'm glad there's some improvement in this area!

Matchup Breakdown in Total (217 Duels; 99 Heads, 118 Tails)

Due to Tenpai's influence: 102 1st, 115 2nd

  • 29 Maliss (13.4%, W/R = 51%)
  • 21 Blue-Eyes (9.7%, W/R = 43%)
  • 19 Orcust (8.8%, W/R = 52%)
  • 18 Ryzeal (8.3%, W/R = 44%)

Honorable Mentions: 15 White Forest, 13 Tearlaments, 12 Sky Striker, 11 Lunalight, 10 Mitsurugi, 9 Labrynth, 8 Tenpai

Lancea felt pretty valid since it had applications vs Maliss, Orcust, and Lunalight. I accepted having no real non-engine vs Ryzeal outside of Droll. This meta is a lot more varied than last formats! Some interesting things to note are that Gem-Knight was not as represented (only 3) despite being well positioned in this format. Additionally the 15 White Forest were observed after the new support, so Droll got some mileage on top of Mitsu.
