Notes & Combos

Overview

Well, sadly I couldn't reach M1 with the budget options I was advocating for in my M5 list. I returned to handtraps, and I landed on Droll, Nibiru, and more copies of Impulse. Droll is excellent for a lot of MUs, not the least of which being the mirror, along with Purrely, and even Snake-Eye provided they search Diabellstar first. It also kills pile decks quite effectively, too.

Returning Techs

Nibiru is a bomb that most decks aren't fully equipped to expect, and is great to have paired with a 2nd hand trap, which you can expect to happen with these ratios. In previous builds, I used Fire Attacker as a means to draw into board breakers for Turn 2, but I've now seen it's much more effective to draw into either more gas or strong HTs like Maxx C, Droll, or Nibiru. There's also a psychological aspect to summoning an Impulse target out and hiding Nib until the best moment, too, as you'll find opponents playing calmly after seeing Impulse as the main interruption. And as has been shown in previous lists, Fire Engine is still an insane extender.

Extra Deck

As a means to insulate against Evenly Matched, I opted to use a Reprodocus-Linguriboh package. This package is effectively a truncated version of a T-hertz line, where after you change types with Repro (usually with Air Lifter or Hydrant), you link it off with another monster to make Elf, and then summon Linguriboh under Elf's arrow. Also, since SP Little Knight is now here, you can use her to dodge targeted negation and even dodge Nibiru, too, if necessary- you can even summon her under an Elf arrow! All else remains the same, though. Same OTK lines, just now with more interaction and utility with S:P being added.

Conclusion

R-Ace is finally at the peak of its powers. With no limits to the main deck pieces, and with S:P finally added, along with Elf remaining entirely unbanned, there's little doubt as to why it's currently the 2nd best deck in the game.

Note this replay was made before S:P was added, but she's not necessary for this combo to work.
